Charging here is split across several operators, each with its own app and account, and working out which two or three matter for your driving saves a lot of clutter.

EV charging networks covers who operates the public charging in the UK, what kind of chargers they run and roughly what they charge. Useful before a long drive, and useful when deciding which network account is worth setting up.

EV charging speed comparison puts home, AC and DC charging side by side so you can see what the jump from a power point to a wall charger to a DC fast charger actually buys you in miles per hour. The differences are larger than most people expect at the bottom of the range and smaller than expected at the top, because your car's own maximum charging rate eventually becomes the limit rather than the charger's.

EV battery size list is a reference table of battery capacity, efficiency and range across the EVs sold in the UK. It is the quickest way to sanity-check a specification, or to see how a car you are considering compares with one you already know.

The speed comparison uses your car's maximum DC charging rate, so it stops quoting you charging speeds your vehicle cannot actually accept. The battery size list highlights your model. The charging apps page uses your battery in its quick cost estimate.

It takes one selection, it is stored in your own browser rather than an account, and it applies everywhere.

Charging networks expand, merge and change their pricing, and new EVs arrive constantly. The figures behind these tools live in one central data file documented on the methodology page, and the last-reviewed date at the top of each page tells you when it was checked.

Where a network's pricing is quoted, treat it as indicative. Operators vary prices between individual sites and adjust them over time, and some offer member or subscription rates that differ from the public price. Always confirm the rate in the operator's own app before you plug in.
